Tales of a Neighborhood Bike Rider

TrekBike

Riding on my bike, tonight, was just like being a kid again.

First of all, the only adults I saw on bikes were the ones that appeared homeless. I don’t know what that says about me…so I won’t probe that.

Anyways, I rode up on a group of kids watching the police on their bikes and skateboards. I got into the conversation to learn what was happening. I’m assuming that, despite my width, my short stature is what gave me the kid pass, because they spoke freely. They were hilarious, had potty mouths and were bad as hell!

Soon, I took off. The police were taking too damn long. About 10 minutes later, some of the kids rode past me and let me know the police had caught the guy, a redhead, with crack on him. Supposedly he’s a killer. I decided it wasn’t up to me to ask how they knew so much, nor why their little butts were outside in the dark!

I swear, riding on this bike is like an adventure. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
